Cosmetic Dentistry

If you’re not quite satisfied with your smile, we at Ridgeview Dental Group in Menomonee Falls offer a number of cosmetic dentistry procedures. Whether you need to replace a tooth or would just like an aesthetic upgrade, we can help.

Dental Implants

An implant is a titanium screw which is surgically placed into your jawbone during a safe and routine procedure. The implant can support a single crown, or a bridge if you need to replace multiple teeth. Because the implant is made of titanium, it will fuse to and strengthen your jawbone as it heals. The restorative crown or bridge atop the implant will be custom made to match the color and shape of your teeth.

Fixed Porcelain Bridges

A fixed porcelain bridge is supported by two crowns which act as anchors on either side of a prosthetic tooth, called a pontic. Fixed porcelain bridges are highly durable and last many years with proper oral hygiene. The porcelain will be specially fitted for you and will blend in seamlessly with your smile. These bridges also prevent your remaining teeth from shifting after the loss of a tooth.

Composite Bonding & Fillings

Composite bonding and fillings are made of a tooth-colored material, which seamlessly covers damaged teeth or fills in cavities to restore the appearance of a healthy, beautiful smile. During your appointment, we will drill out any decay, and apply the composite on the tooth surface before sculpting it into the perfect shape and curing it with a special light. Composite bonding and filling are also one of the least expensive cosmetic dentistry procedures available. If you have experienced tooth decay, chipped, or cracked teeth, or have noticed worn-down edges, ask us at your next appointment if composite bonding is right for you.

Porcelain Crowns, Inlays & Veneers

Porcelain is a strong, versatile, and tooth-colored material used to create a variety of restorations including crowns, inlays, and veneers. Crowns are used to entirely cover a damaged tooth. Crowns protect and strengthen a damaged tooth while also improving the appearance and shape, as well as the alignment of your entire smile. In some cases, we recommend a crown rather than an especially large filling, or to cover a tooth that has undergone root canal treatment.

Inlays, also called “indirect fillings” are premolded fillings that don’t extend over the cusp of your tooth. Porcelain inlays are not as noticeable as metal fillings but just as effective. Porcelain inlays are not only discreet they are more durable than regular fillings made of composite or amalgam.

Veneers are recommended for patients with crooked teeth, cracked or damaged enamel, or noticeable gaps between teeth. Veneers are made from medical-grade porcelain and created custom for each patient to match their natural teeth. We’ll apply these veneers to your existing natural teeth and use a dental adhesive to secure them in place. Veneers are exceptionally realistic and greatly improve the aesthetics of your smile.
