 What to do in case of:

    Temporary Crown Falls off:

  • Gently clean out the inside of the intact temporary crown.  Place a small amount of fixodent within the inside of the crown and place on your tooth.  Call the office first thing in the morning for an appointment to have the crown evaluated.

    Chipped or Cracked Tooth: 

  • If no discomfort, call the office first thing in the morning for an appointment.  If the cracked tooth is bothersome, please call the above number. 

    Knocked Out Tooth: 

  • Primary tooth:
    • No need to reimplant (place back in socket) if it is one of the front four baby teeth on either top or bottom jaw.
  • Permanent tooth:
    • If the tooth and tooth socket are relatively clean, immediately reimplant or place the tooth back in the vacant socket and call the above number.
    • If unable to reimplant the tooth, place in milk and call the above number immediately.
    • Remember, the best chance for the tooth to survive is treatment within the first 60 minutes!

    Bumped/Luxated Tooth (Tooth is out of normal position):

  • Please call the above number immediately.  

    Orthodontic Emergencies:

  • Bracket came off:  If possible, remove from patient's mouth and call to schedule an appointment.
  • Poking Wire:  Place orthodontic wax on the edge of the wire, call to schedule an appointment.
